I have had many issues with this board and ESXi
Need to Make Intel DG35EC MoBo Boot From a SCSI Drive. I just finished ripping the hard drives out of my system and connecting them to an Intel DG35EC MoBo, with an Intel processor and Intel BIOS. There are 3 hard drives in all - 2 IDEs and a SCSI. Aug 05, 2008 Intel Motherboard. 1 Answer Hdd.
Unable to recognise Datastore until I downgrade bios to ver 107
Unable to recognise host local CD-rom cd-rom during VM boot up (tried both ide and sata) so have to copy ISO to datastore, played with all the boot settings and the VM bios settings
Now I find that I am unable to install Widows 2003 x64
When I try to load from either the client cd or from iso file I get error
- ' this cpu is not compatible with x64bit mode, please install a 32bit X86 operating system'*
Screenshot is attached.
My hardware is Q8200 CPU (64bit CPU), RAM=8Gb, and motherboard is of course an Intel DG35EC
Has anyone go this going with a 64bit version of Windows 2003 or 2008
Has anyone seen this error and could let me know what they did to fix.
Driving me nuts this board, started to look at Hyper-V but board wont work due to not having any VT settings in bios, so I really need to try to get this virtualisation environment happening, maybe change motherboard, does anyone have any recommendations on boards that just work. But would prefer to get my setup going, I think im close but just need a bit more assistance.
Thanks,
